OXVA NeXLIM Review: A Refined Masterpiece in the Pod Vape World
I first picked up my OXVA NeXLIM in the early morning hours—well, the early hours of a workday that felt like it had no end. I had been waiting for this kind of upgrade for quite some time. My last device, the XLIM Pro 2, had been a solid workhorse, but the NeXLIM seemed to carry a whole new level of polish, performance, and versatility. I was curious if it would live up to the hype. As it turned out, it not only did, but it surprised me in more ways than I expected.
Before we formally understand this product, let’s take a look at the basic parameters of the product so that we can have a basic understanding.

First Impressions: Unboxing the NeXLIM
The moment I tore open the box, I was struck by how much OXVA had managed to pack into a single kit. The NeXLIM felt like a step up in both size and sophistication. The box was cleanly designed, with an elegant layout and just the right amount of detail. Inside, there was the NeXLIM device itself, two 4ml cartridges, a Type-C cable, the manual, and a small guide on how to operate the buttons.
I took the device in my hand and immediately noticed something—it was slightly bigger and heavier than the XLIM Pro 2, but not in a bad way. It wasn’t bulky or awkward. The zinc alloy body felt sturdy, and the smooth edges made it comfortable to hold for long periods. I liked the weight, it gave me a sense of quality, like the device was built to last.
I flipped it over and saw the various color options. I was drawn to the “Black Warrior” finish—sleek, bold, and with a subtle metallic sheen. But the options were numerous, and OXVA clearly tried to appeal to all tastes with their color choices. Whether you prefer bold or understated, there was a shade for you.
Operation Guide
OXVA is a user-friendly manufacturer. Their recent products are like this. The NeXLIM comes with a simple button guide and instructions in the box, which I think is necessary to help new customers adapt and operate the product well. They also program this guide into the device; if you forget how to operate it, just long press the button to view the operation guide.
The NeXLIM supports drawing activation. The only buttons that the NeXLIM has are for adjusting settings:
- One button wakes up the screen
- Double click to switch power mode (ECO or BOOST)
- Three clicks to enter power adjustment mode
- Four clicks to switch display theme
- Five clicks to turn on or off
- Seven clicks to clear the number of puffs
- Long press to view the operation guide
The 0.85-Inch Color Screen: Style Meets Functionality
One of the first things I noticed was the new 0.85-inch color screen. It was larger than the one on the XLIM Pro 2, and the display quality was just as sharp and vivid as I remembered. I clicked the power button and the device instantly woke up, the screen lighting up in a gentle glow.
The default screen was clean and minimal, with a stealthy design that didn’t include an animated bar or extra details. I liked that. But after a few clicks, I switched into “Theme #2″—my favorite. It showed everything: wattage, battery percentage, resistance, and even a puff counter. The fonts were crisper, more readable, and the interface felt more intuitive.
There were a few theme options, and I enjoyed experimenting with the simple, minimalist “Theme #3” as well. It gave the screen a clean, almost futuristic look. The display was easy to navigate, and the fact that some menus were theme-dependent just added to the sense of customization.
Getting Started: Intuitive and User-Friendly
If you’ve ever used an OXVA device before, you’ll find the NeXLIM to be very similar in terms of interface and control. It’s draw-activated, so there’s only one button—used for changing modes, adjusting wattage, and viewing settings. The process is simple enough for anyone to figure out, and OXVA even included a button guide in the box and programmed it into the device itself.
I liked the long-press function to access the operating guide. It was a small but thoughtful addition, especially for someone like me who might occasionally forget the sequence of button presses. The device’s tactile feedback was responsive, and the screen lit up instantly upon waking.
The NeXLIM pods are also easy to fill without removing them from the device. Just lift the rubber plug on the side, rotate it, and pour in the e-liquid. The airflow adjustment feature was also a nice touch—moving the slider was smooth and precise, shifting from a tight MTL to an open RDL with ease.
Performance: Flavor, Power, and Versatility
Now, the big question: how did the NeXLIM perform? Truth be told, it was impressive. I tested it with both the 0.6-ohm and 0.8-ohm pods, and both delivered excellent results.
I started with the 0.8-ohm pod, using a sweet tobacco e-liquid that I’ve had on hand for a while. The flavor was rich and true-to-life. I was surprised by how much more it seemed to elevate the taste—like it was a step up from the previous XLIM model. I was on my second 4ml cartridge, and it still tasted amazing. It was consistent, satisfying, and had that perfect balance of heat and vapor.
Then I moved to the 0.6-ohm pod, which I filled with a fruity menthol flavor. This was more of an RDL experience, and I was genuinely impressed. The flavor was vibrant, the vapor production was solid, and the coil held up well even after a few uses. It rivaled some of my go-to RDL setups, and that’s saying something.
One thing that stood out was the dual wattage modes—ECO and BOOST. ECO was perfect for a lighter, more relaxed vape, while BOOST offered a more intense experience. You could easily switch between the two with just a couple of button presses, making the NeXLIM incredibly versatile for anyone who enjoys multiple vaping styles.
Battery Life: Fast Charging, Long Lasting
I was a bit skeptical about whether the larger 1500 mAh battery would charge slower. But I was surprised to find out that it actually charged faster. The XLIM Pro 2 took about 46 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%, while the NeXLIM only needed 38 minutes. That was a nice touch—fast charging means less time waiting and, more importantly, less downtime.
The battery life itself was also solid. I typically used about two refills (around 7.5–8.5 mL per charge) before needing to plug it in. For my daily use, that was more than enough. And if I had to charge it again, the 38-minute charge was more than enough to get me back to full power.
The screen showed the battery percentage, which is a huge plus. While the “simple” display theme only showed a battery bar, the more detailed themes included the actual percentage, which made monitoring the charge a lot easier.
Minor Quibbles: What I Didn’t Love About the NeXLIM
I did find one small issue that might be a concern for some users. The auto-draw feature—while mostly reliable—occasionally sputtered when I took a slow and soft inhale, especially when the airflow was set to the widest RDL position. It wasn’t a frequent issue, but it was noticeable, and it made me think of the advantages of a button-activated device, which offers more control over the draw.
That said, it wasn’t a deal-breaker. The only time I encountered it was when I was being overly gentle with my inhale, and adjusting my technique resolved the issue entirely. If you’re used to the button-activation of more traditional vape devices, this may take a little getting used to—but it’s definitely manageable.
Final Thoughts: A Near-Perfect Pod Vape
After a week of using the OXVA NeXLIM, I can confidently say that this is one of the best pod vapes I’ve ever used. It strikes a perfect balance between performance, design, and usability. The build quality is top-tier, the screen is impressive, and the flavor and vapor production are on par with some of the most well-regarded pod systems out there.
The only real drawback is the lack of a firing button, which some users might prefer for more control. But for most users, especially those who enjoy a more hands-free, intuitive experience, the NeXLIM is a dream device.
If you’re in the market for an upgrade from the XLIM Pro 2, or if you’re looking for a high-quality, versatile pod vape, the NeXLIM is an excellent choice. It’s not just a step up—it’s almost a complete reimagining of the pod vape category.
