How we score
Every review on VapeObservation comes from hands-on testing. Devices are used as daily drivers for at least a week before they’re scored, and verdicts are built from six weighted criteria that adapt to the device type:

Scores are locked at publication and only change if the product itself changes. Rankings come from the same data, so a promotion doesn’t move them.
The four of us
Kevin Li
Managing EditorKevin runs Vape Observation. He plans what we cover, keeps the product database honest, and makes sure everything published meets the bar. Before launching the site, he spent years testing vape hardware and following the industry. Outside the desk, Kevin is usually into photography, web tech, or some new AI tool he wants to try.
Brian Cooper
Vape WriterBrian writes the guides. If you're new to vaping or stuck on a question, his job is to make the answer simple — how devices work, how to use and maintain them, and what to look for when buying. He enjoys writing, tech, gaming, and music, and likes how technology fits into everyday life. He's always testing something new.
David Miller
Product ReviewerDavid tests the products. He spends his days with vape devices, pods, and disposables — checking build quality, battery life, and how things feel in real use — then writes up what he finds and logs it in the database. He's into photography, electronics, and the outdoors. In his spare time he takes gadgets apart to see how they work.
Lily Carter
Senior EditorLily edits the news side of Vape Observation. She tracks what's actually happening in the industry — product launches, regulation changes, the stories that matter — and checks the facts before anything goes live. Outside work she likes photography, traveling, reading, and finding good cafés, and keeps an eye on consumer tech and lifestyle trends.
The bench is run by four people who test, log, and edit everything on the site. We publish under one rule: if we wouldn’t spend our own money on it, we say so.
Editorial integrity
Editorial and commercial are separate. Affiliate links are disclosed and never affect scores. We don’t charge for placement or accept payment for reviews.
